Chief Operating Officer

Nairobi, East Africa 

My client is a growing technological business focused on Africa, it works with NGOs and world heath Organisations throughout the African continent. The company now seeks to appoint a COO to lead the company through an exciting phase of its growth. This role is the equivalent of a co-founder role in a start up working closely with the CEO but on the operational day to day side of the business.

The role offers a unique proposition for an individual from ideally West Africa to relocate to East Africa to help establish the market here and then move back to West Africa to continue the development once East Africa is established.

I’m therefore looking for a COO who understands distribution, marketing and sales in emerging markets with attention to B2B and B2C in the home and small business division.

Main duties will include overseeing the Kenyan entity by providing business plans, developing relationships for commercial and manufacturing partnerships. Develop commercial strategy with the CEO and executing it. You will have B2B and B2C experience and already leading commercial functions in dynamic small sized companies in West or East Africa.
